About Us

Located in the heart of Cary, Northwoods Elementary School is a vibrant and welcoming learning community committed to helping every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Serving students in grades Pre-K through 5 as part of the Wake County Public School System, Northwoods is known for its strong sense of community, dedicated educators, and supportive partnerships with families.

At Northwoods, students are encouraged to live out the school’s “CLIMB” motto: Care for Others, Listen to Learn, Interact Safely, Make Good Choices, and Become Successful. This shared commitment helps create a positive school culture where students feel valued, connected, and inspired to do their best each day.

Northwoods Elementary is a welcoming and safe community that respects diversity and fosters the academic and social/emotional growth of all students. Our goal is to engage students through hands-on, relevant, and rigorous instruction that promotes inquiry and broadens perspectives to help prepare each child for the challenges of a continually changing world.
