Northwoods Media Center
	Hello! I'm Ms. Duncan and I am the media specialist here at Northwoods. The media center is a user-friendly facility and a positive environment. We want all of our students to love coming to the media center and to enjoy reading for learning and for fun! Ms. Duncan- rduncan@wcpss.net Mrs. Shea and Mrs. Griffin-Assistants
Hours of Operation We are open daily from 8:45-3:30. Teachers may send students individually or in small groups during the day with passes. Teachers may also schedule times to bring their whole classes in for check out or for lessons in media skills. We are also open from 8:30-8:45 and from 3:45-4:15 for students accompanied by parents/guardians.
	Check-Out Policies Students may check out books for two weeks and can renew them if needed. Please encourage students to return books on time so that others may read them. KI- 1 book 1st-1 book, then 2 mid-year 2nd- 2 books, then 3 mid-year 3rd-5th- 4 books
Overdue and Lost/Damaged Books A student with an overdue book may not check out additional books until the book is returned. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student is asked to either provide the replacement price for the book or replace it by purchasing the same book elsewhere before checking out additional books.
