STUDENT HANDBOOK

School Hours

School hours are 9:15 a.m. until 3:45 p.m.  Students may enter their classrooms at 8:45.  Students arriving earlier must be enrolled in the Early Arrival Program.  Each afternoon students who walk home or ride in cars are dismissed at the front of the school.  Car riders should be picked up no later than 4:00 p.m.  Students who ride buses and vans leave from side entrances.  The school office closes at 4:30.

Early Arrival Program

An Early Arrival Program is provided for parents who need to have supervision for their children between 7:00 and 8:45.  Students are supervised by school employees in the cafeteria.  You may enroll your child/children and pay applicable fees to the program director.  The monthly fee for 2008-2009 is $62.25 per child with a $10.00 registration fee.

If your children are not enrolled in the Early Arrival Program, they are not to arrive at school before 8:45.  Teachers and assistants are not required to report to work until 8:45; therefore, there is no supervision for students who are not in the program.  Since we cannot be responsible for the children, it is not a safe practice to drop them off without supervision.
