Accelerated Reader is a nationally recognized reading incentive program.  It is one of many strategies used at Northwoods to promote an interest in reading.  In AR, students read designated books and take computerized comprehension quizzes on them.  The AR software program keeps track of the books each student reads and records their performance on each quiz. Students accumulate points based on the length and difficulty of the book and the number of quiz questions answered correctly.  Students may redeem their accumulated points in our AR store once each quarter.
